How to Make Lapel Pins for Beginners?

I'm Shirley from Kang Jin Emblems Factory in China, it a business focused on Emblems (Such as: Emblem, Lapel Pin, Medal, Coin, Cufflink, Tie Clip, Keychain, Embroidery patch, Woven Label, Silicon Badge and more related to apparel), as someone who has specialize in designed and production Enamel Pins over the past ten years, I would like to share my experience and sincerely wish it's some helpful for beginners.

If you're interested in creating your own Enamel Pins, I recommend starting small and then just grow from there to begin, I like to sketch on procree and then vector on Adobe Illustrator pretty much, you can use whatever program you have available to you, I know some people do like to use Photoshop and other programs, it's better if you vector your design yourself. if you don't know how to use a program like illustrator just send the picture then we will free make as it.

What information do you need to consider in your design?

1. Great Design: To make sure parts where there would be more than one color, is closed in because the lines are where plating would occur and each portion is filled in with only one color, essentially colors don't bleed over each other, unless you want to pay for screen printing. also I don't necessarily recommend starting with super complicated, features such as stained glass, sandglass glow in the dark and so on, especially for your small quantity or try order, because it can be expensive, you could also consider minimizing colors, just to keep it more affordable more colors equals higher price. so you could try to go with the same shade of colors, for example like use one red for wherever, there's red rather than using different shades of red.

2. Specification: Enamel Pins consist of a few details, and these are some things to consider when creating your mock up, and some of those features include size, materials, plating, painted or enamel? used epoxy for the surface or not, and what accessories you want to use the back (butterfly button, rubber button, deluxe clutch, safety pins or key chain etc.).

3. Colors: it definitely include Pantone colors, they are essentially the standard for manufacturer, and just making sure that you're both on the right page with specific colors, most factory use this Pantone book and this one is the coded version.

4. How to packing your Enamel Pin? used the plastic bag, cardboard with opp bag or elegant gift box?
